Deans Community High School is currently the only branded learning centre within West Lothian Council for LearnDirect Scotland

The school helps people to carry on learning throughout their lives as it offers different ways of learning that are often more informal and flexible than traditional environments. Deans Community High School encourages people from different backgrounds to find a way back into learning.

The school recently had a Quality Enhancement and Development (QED) visit from LearnDirect Scotland. This focussed on process and practices in the following areas

·         Quality assurance

·         Self assessment

·         Learner feedback

·         Opportunities for enhancement and development

In all ten areas focussed on, Deans scored a 1, which is the highest possible rating.
